BEST BUY COMPLETES ROSTER OF NATIONAL RETAIL TENANTS AT GARDEN COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES’ RIVERDALE CROSSING

RIVERDALE, N.J. – Riverdale Crossing is fully leased thanks to the addition of yet another major national retail tenant at the 260,000 square-foot shopping center situated on the emerging Route 23 retail corridor in this Morris County Township.

Best Buy has signed a 32,000 square-foot lease at the two-story complex, joining other highly-recognizable brands such as anchor tenant Wal Mart, Border’s Books and Music, The Sports Authority, Pier One Imports and Chili’s, according to Garden Commercial Properties, which owns and manages the center.

Best Buy is expected to begin operations at Riverdale Crossing in late June, indicates Michael Gartenberg, Director of Leasing for the Short Hills, N.J. –based company.

“Since it’s opening in 2006, Riverdale Crossing has become one of the major shopping destinations for consumers in Morris and Passaic Counties,” says Mr. Gartenberg. “Its location on the Route 23 corridor extending from Wayne to West Milford makes it easily accessible to the growing residential bases in the area and been a major reason why we’ve sustained an incredibly stable tenant base.

“With the addition of Best Buy, Riverdale Crossing is once again fully leased and we’re pleased to welcome this highly-recognizable chain which is the perfect compliment to the national retailers that have been operating here for more than four years.”

Situated directly on Route 23, adjacent to the intersection of Route 287, the center is located in close proximity to several other major thoroughfares including Routes 202, 46 and 80.

“Riverdale Crossing will not only fulfill the conveniences of those in Morris and Passaic Counties, it will also prove beneficial to Bergen County residents who will find it ideal, especially for Sunday shopping,” Mr. Gartenberg points out.

Super Foodtown Set To Open Shortly At The 163,000 Square-Foot Retail Center

HAZLET, N.J. – Garden Commercial Properties continues to record leasing activity and development progress at its shopping and commercial centers throughout New Jersey.

The Short Hills, N.J.-based developer recently signed two leases totaling 14,000 square feet at Bayshore Plaza, a 163,000 square-foot open-air retail complex in Monmouth County, N.J.’s Hazlet Township. Joining current tenants such as Staples, Party City, McDonalds, STS Tire & Auto Center and Childrenswear Centre will be Pet Supplies Plus which signed a 9,200 square-foot lease and Bethany Wines and Liquors which has reserved 4,800 square-feet of space.

What’s more, Garden Commercial Properties is now putting the finishing touches on a 56,000 square-foot Super Foodtown at Bayshore Plaza scheduled to open shortly. The completion of the supermarket will signify the end of a renovation effort at the retail complex which included storefront and interior improvements and upgrades to parking areas and lighting.
