DENVER, CO — Seven individual vacation homes located in some of the country’s most desirable resort destinations will be offered at auction on March 19th by Sheldon Good & Company, A Racebrook Portfolio Company, America’s leading real estate auction marketing firm.
The one-day auction is part of the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy liquidation of High Country Club — one of the country’s largest members-only destination clubs focused on popular resort markets. Located in premier vacation and second home communities in California, Colorado, Florida and New York City, the residences will be offered at suggested opening bids as low as $150,000 and will be sold absolute, regardless of price. High Country Club originally purchased the properties at prices ranging from $690,000 to over $1 million.
The auction will take place at 1 p.m. MST at the Denver Marriot City Center located at 1701 California Street, Denver, Colorado. Bidders can also participate via a live real time Internet bidding through Proxibid. Those interested in bidding online can call (800) 374-4881 to order the Internet bidding packet and instructions. A request to participate as an Internet bidder must be received no later than March 12, 2010. There is a processing fee of $75 for this option.
“These properties are being sold by a Chapter 7 Trustee on behalf of several secured creditors who are motivated to sell the entire auction inventory,” says Jim MacDonnell, Executive Managing Director at Sheldon Good & Company. “Thanks to locations in some of the most sought-after resort getaways, they are ideal for both second homebuyers who want to purchase a vacation retreat or investors looking to add income-producing properties at auction prices. In fact, several of the homes are currently generating capital in high-demand short term rental arrangements.”
