Our review team recently had the pleasure of dining at Halifax, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Hoboken, New Jersey. Executive Chef Seadon Shouse puts an emphasis on local ingredients at this seafood-rich gem. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was captivated by its sophisticated and inviting ambiance. The friendly staff welcomed me with warm smiles and guided me to my table, setting the stage for what would be an extraordinary dining experience
To begin my gastronomic journey, I opted for the seafood tower, an impressive display that showcased the finest treasures of the sea. As the tower was presented before me, I couldn’t help but be amazed by its grandeur. Local oysters, top neck clams, poached shrimp, a succulent lobster tail, and a delicate bass tartar adorned the tower, enticing both my eyes and my taste buds. The freshness of the seafood was undeniable, and each bite was a burst of oceanic flavors. Accompanied by crispy crostini, this extravaganza was a true delight for seafood enthusiasts like myself.
