By Helu Wang | SLEEPY HOLLOW – On the site of the former General Motors assembly plant, a mega-development is taking shape along the Hudson River, a “village within a village” with well over a thousand residences.
Edge-on-Hudson, a community sprawling across 70 acres, will include 1,177 townhomes, condos and apartments, a 140-room boutique hotel, 135,000 square feet of retail space, 35,000 square feet of office space and 16 acres of parkland.
Once fully developed, the roughly $1 billion project is expected to bring some 3,000 new residents to Sleepy Hollow — a number equal to about a quarter of the current village population.
