Harrison’s transformation from industrial town to residential destination continues to move forward, with a developer completing more than 900 residences across three rental buildings in the Riverbend District.
The 35-acre mixed-use development sits adjacent to Harrison’s PATH Station and the 25,000 seat Sports Illustrated Stadium, home of the Red Bulls and Gotham FC professional soccer teams.
Once known as The Beehive of Industry for its manufacturing prowess, the township has attracted thousands of new residents through the district’s expansion.
The developer, Advance Realty Investors, has worked with Mayor James Fife, the Town Council and Harrison Redevelopment Agency to convert the former brownfield site into residential and commercial space.
When completed, the project will include approximately 3,800 residential homes and 100,000 square feet of commercial and retail space along the Passaic River.
The Wyldes, a six-story building at 1100 South 5th St., opened last year as the newest addition to the district.
Designed by MHS Architecture, the building contains 399 studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments with 45,000 square feet of outdoor green space.
Units feature Pella windows, luxury plank flooring, Bosch washers and dryers, GE stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops.
