Bungalow is the Jersey Shore’s only authentic boutique luxury lifestyle hotel
Hoteliers David and Michael Barry of Ironstate Development and W Hoboken fame have recently celebrated the first year anniversary of the opening of celebrity favorite Bungalow, the Jersey Shore’s first authentic boutique luxury lifestyle hotel, ideally located in Pier Village, the Jersey shore’s award winning destination for dining, shopping and living. Bungalow is just steps from endless sand beaches, world class restaurants, and exciting nightlife.
Pier Village features more than 100,000 square feet of boutique shops and restaurants, a new boardwalk and refurbished beach, an elegant beach club, an outdoor festival plaza which hosts year-round public events, and 536 luxury rental residences all located along the oceanfront in Long Branch, NJ. This Victorian-inspired mixed use community recently earned the 2009 Governor’s Tourism Award.
A welcome addition to the neighborhood, the 25,000 square foot, 24 room Bungalow hotel offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and is only a short walk to the beach, where guests will have full access to a Le Club, a charming beach club complete with beach cabanas, a roof deck bar, lounge and pool.
The mod-meets-beach hotel decor at Bungalow was carefully chosen by the husband and wife design duo Bob and Cortney Novogratz, owners of the NYC based Sixx Design, and stars of Bravo’s newest docu-series “9 by Design.” Sixx Design’s trademark eclectic and distinctive design style has resulted in the stunning effect of 24 diverse looks in each of the 24 spacious guest rooms featuring over 50 works of original art. With options such as junior suites, oversized king bedrooms, and corner suites, guests may choose between rooms such as the Aloha, Hangloose, and Lil Pipeline; guest rooms with names as unique as their decor.
The laid-back but stylish beach feel of the hotel is accented with contemporary accessories like lamps from Moss, surf photos by Jeff Devine, and light-filled rooms with huge bathtubs. Upon arrival, Bungalow guests are welcomed by a lounge and billiard room on the first floor, complete with a champagne bar and outdoor patio Personalized accents are apparent throughout, such as a feathered chandelier hanging above the 1940s pool table, and a vintage foosball table in the lobby sitting adjacent to a six foot mural of a stamp-made entirely out of buttons. All guest rooms are oversized and furnished with king beds, flat screen TVs, iPod docking stations, kitchenettes, window walls, and fireplaces. Each room also offers wireless internet, a mini bar, and a cafe table for in-room dining.
