Morristown is celebrating the grand opening of a steakhouse that will serve as the centerpiece for the town’s Shops on the Green.
Mayor Timothy Dougherty will be on hand at the opening of Roots Steak House on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30. The restaurant is the latest addition to the Shops on the Green, a 70,000-square-foot retail space; the Morristown location will be the second for the Summit-based Roots.
The renovation project is a $300 million investment in the area surrounding the Green, and also includes the 40 Park luxury condos and the Metropolitan at 40 Park luxury rental units. The Shops on the Green already has an AT&T Wireless store, and will soon include two more restaurants, Urban Table and Qdoba, according to a news release announcing the opening.
