MONMOUTH JUNCTION, N.J. – Lenny Keller and her husbandNorman were driving home fromNew York City one afternoon when they saw a sign for The Pointe at Turnbury. On a whim, they decided to pull into the development to see what it was like, a decision which would change their lives.
The Kellers fell in love with the active adult community in the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, located just five minutes from downtownPrinceton. They were impressed with the immaculate landscaping, beautiful homes and feeling of warmth and vitality the community exuded. When they decided to schedule an appointment to tour one of the homes, they were even more impressed with the staff, so welcoming and easy to deal with.
“I don’t have a single bad thing I can say about the place. It has been a totally enjoyable experience for me,” Mrs. Keller said. “Everyone working in the sales office was knowledgeable about the homes and got back to me instantaneously whenever I contacted them. Moving can be so stressful and the staff at The Pointe at Turnbury did everything they could to relieve that stress, which they were successful in doing.”
The Kellers decided to move from their condo inLawrenceville to a 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath townhome at The Pointe at Turnbury, the Ashbury design. They chose the Ashbury because of its dramatic loft space, which they have opened up and made a centerpiece of their home. Interior decorating is a hobby of Mrs. Keller’s, so she has enjoyed beautifying her home since moving in twomonths ago.
The location is a big plus for the couple, too. The Pointe at Turnbury is located near the shopping, dining, nightlife and culture of downtownPrinceton, as well as several major highways. Mass transportation at the nearby Princeton Junction train station makes getting toNew YorkCityandPhiladelphiaequally as convenient. Mr. Keller works as an importer and has to travel between both cities regularly. Mrs. Keller is a semi-retired medical assistant who plans on working in Princeton, but also enjoys making frequent trips toNew York.
“It is a fantastic area to live in,” Mrs. Keller said. “I can get toNew Yorkin 50 minutes and I can get toPhiladelphiain 50 minutes. What could be better than that?”
The Kellers started taking advantage of everything The Pointe at Turnbury has to offer as soon as they moved in. They swim in the pool often, which makes them feel like they are on vacation. Inside the community’s 7,500 square foot clubhouse, they play ping pong, deal card games and meet with friends. Mrs. Keller will soon be leading a Mah Jong club and teaching other residents how to play. The couple also uses the clubhouse’s state-of-the-art fitness center and has attended two community barbecues.
“We’ve moved many times and have lived in a lot of nice places, but we have finally found a community that gives us everything we were looking for,” Mrs. Keller said. “From the people to the amenities to the beautiful homes, there isn’t a thing I would change. We’re very happy here and I believe this will be our last home.”
Known as a friendly community that caters to both working and retired active adults, The Pointe at Turnbury offers residents a tremendous work-life balance. The hub of the community’s social life is the 7,500-foot clubhouse, which features a grand salon, entertaining kitchen, sunroom, game and card room and billiard room. Residents have plenty of room to mingle and socialize, or they can take advantage of the state-of-the-art fitness center, outdoor heated pool, spa, putting green and bocce courts. Many events and recreational activities are scheduled for the evening to allow working residents to participate.
The 190 townhomes at The Pointe at Turnbury all offer an array of standard high-end amenities and appointments including gourmet kitchens, finished loft spaces and convenient two-car garages.
