GROUP OF FRIENDS MOVE TOGETHER TO THE POINTE AT TURNBURY IN SOUTH BRUNSWICK

MONMOUTH JUNCTION, N.J. – When Stephen and Yolanda Chen decided to start looking for a new home about a year ago, they didn’t have to search for long. They found The Pointe at Turnbury within the first few weeks and decided immediately to take advantage of the excellent value and the ideal location that the community has to offer. They were so pleased with their choice that they convinced two other couples to move along with them.

The Chens structured their purchase so that it would be almost a year before they would have to close on their new home. That gave them time to sell their previous home and to prepare for the move. Their friends did the same, so all three couples moved in within a month of each other. They even purchased homes in the same part of the community. One couple lives next-door to the Chens and the other shares a bordering backyard. They are all thrilled to be living together and sharing their new experience at The Pointe at Turnbury.

“We lived in a four-bedroom home in West Windsor for 15 years, but our kids were growing up and the property taxes were high, so we decided this would be a good time to move,” Mrs. Chen said. “We saw the price and location of The Pointe at Turnbury and it was exactly what we were looking for. We made our decision within a couple of weeks and our friends decided to follow us here.”

The Chens are still in the process of unpacking from the move, but when that task is complete Mrs. Chen said she would like to spend some time at the community’s clubhouse getting to know her neighbors and playing board games. The 7,500 square-foot clubhouse offers a number of features, including an outdoor pool and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

“We really like it here,” Mrs. Chen said. “The house is cozy and the price is very affordable. The Cedarbury model is big enough for all of us and we really like that it has a basement, which has a lot of storage space, high ceilings and two sets of windows to provide a lot of natural light.”

Mrs. Chen is a retired software engineer and Mr. Chen works in the banking industry. He takes the train to New York from the Princeton Junction train station every morning, so the location is convenient for him. The community is 10 minutes from the train station and about 10 minutes from the shopping, dining and cultural attractions of downtown Princeton.

Located in South Brunswick, which was named one of Money magazine’s “Best Places to Live” in 2011, The Pointe at Turnbury is a 55-and-better community that gives residents the ability to own a private townhome in a community with friendly neighbors, a convenient location and a wide range of luxury amenities.

With the clubhouse right in the heart of the community, residents enjoy daily recreation and group activities. The clubhouse includes a grand salon, entertaining kitchen, sunroom, flat-screen TVs, game and card room, library, billiards room and a state-of-the-art fitness center. An outdoor heated pool, putting green and bocce courts provide hours of additional entertainment. Residents also enjoy guest speaker presentations, day trips and other forms of organized recreation, organized by a residents’ committee. Evening activities are often held to accommodate working residents.

The Pointe at Turnbury’s location near several highways and mass-transportation centers makes it convenient for working residents as well as those who are looking to spend some of their free time in nearby cultural centers. New York City and Philadelphia are both about an hour away by train via the Princeton Junction train station.

Townhomes in the 190-home community offer an array of standard high-end amenities including gourmet kitchens, finished loft spaces and convenient two-car garages. Three-bedroom, three-bath and three-bedroom, 2.5-bath designs are available, ranging from 1,844 to 2,342 square feet of available living space. Basements are available in some homes. Optional upgrades include hardwood floors, granite countertops, Whirlpool tubs and four different appliance packages.
