The Reserve at Canal Walk

SOMERSET, N.J. – Strong demand has brought the release of new home sites at the Reserve at Canal Walk, the exclusive collection of active adult single-family homes bordering the historic Delaware-Raritan Canal in Somerset County’s Franklin Township.

The home sites offer prime locations within the fast-selling community and can accommodate each of its luxurious two-story designs, according to Premier Development, developer of the Reserve at Canal Walk.

“Summer has traditionally been one of our busiest sales periods as visitors can see residents outside enjoying our world class recreational amenities and obtain a first-hand look at the exclusive country club lifestyle offered here. To meet the expected demand over the next few months, we decided to release these home sites earlier than anticipated.”

Among the five-star recreational amenities at the Reserve, visitors will soon be able to see a spectacular new Reserve clubhouse and cabana for a new pool. The facilities, which are close to completion, will join the 32,000 square-foot Premier Club at Canal Walk, one of the largest and most amenity-rich clubhouses in the state, providing residents with two recreational centers as active and as elegant as any offered at prestigious country clubs.

The community’s magnificent Premier Club recently received the Best Clubhouse/Recreation Amenities Award at the 2011 Sales and Marketing Awards (SAM) presented by the New Jersey Builder’s Association.

Inside the world class 32,000 square-foot clubhouse residents enjoy a heated pool and whirlpool, a spa with steam room, sauna and a fully-equipped fitness room. There’s also a library, crafts room, billiards room and separate men’s and women’s card rooms. In addition, a business center, banquet hall and lounges are available. Tennis, bocce courts and a putting green are adjacent to the oversized outdoor pool and spa. Additional services include a beauty salon and a massage and wellness center.

Homes at the Reserve currently start at just $367,900 which includes savings as high as $100,000 off of original prices. The luxurious ranch-style homes offer up to approximately 2,500 square feet of living space. The homes feature two and three-bedroom layouts, 2-to- 2 1/2 baths, and are located on oversized homesites. The two-story homes are priced from $439,900 and feature up to 3,200 square feet of living space.

The homes boast upscale standard appointments such as nine-foot first floor ceilings, hardwood flooring, convenient gas fireplaces and large eat-in kitchens with 42” cabinets, granite countertops and a full GE™ appliance package, including a self-cleaning range, space-saver microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and washer and dryer. Master bedroom suites include tray ceilings and a master bath with a soaking tub and separate shower with built-in seat. The homes also include plenty of storage space. The two-story homes in the Reserve provide many of the same standard features as the ranch homes, as well as staircases with oak treads and dramatic oak railings.

In addition to the on-site amenities, residents at the Reserve are drawn to the leisurely pursuits available in Franklin Township. The Reserve at Canal Walk borders the 70-mile Raritan and Delaware Canal State Park offering homeowners access to a multitude of outdoor activities. The park is home to some of the region’s premier hiking and bicycling trails and is a state-wide destination for canoeing, fishing, and horseback riding.
