NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – The cool and soulful sounds of piano chord progressions and accompanying low-pitched baselines echoed through the socially-centered lobby lounge at The George recently as the new luxury high-rise rental building in downtown New Brunswick continued its Summer Event Series with an evening of Jazz.
Local favorites The Mike Bond & Jeff Dingler Duo from the New Brunswick Jazz Project entertained dozens of guests at the upscale rental building on George Street, playing a stirring and diverse set of musical pieces, according to Pennrose, which developed The George and is hosting the Summer Event Series. Attendees included residents of The George, future renters, avid followers of the New Brunswick Jazz Project and local residents of New Brunswick.
“One of the main reasons we launched the Summer Event Series was to help showcase some of the numerous cultural and entertainment treasures New Brunswick has to offer,” says Lorena Gomez, Regional Property Manager for Pennrose. “The New Brunswick Jazz Project is one of the many community-minded performing arts organizations in the City and was a perfect fit for our line-up of events. Our current and prospective residents were able to enjoy the live show, mingle with local residents and jazz enthusiasts and learn more about the exciting artistic opportunities that exist right outside their door. The evening also illustrated how The George, with its uniquely-designed lobby and upscale residences, blends in perfectly with the eclectic lifestyle of downtown New Brunswick.”
The Jazz event followed last month’s well-attended wine tasting event at The George which featured a selection of fine wines and light hors d’oeuvres provided by Tula Lounge, an upscale, European-inspired restaurant located minutes away from The George on Easton Avenue.
The most recent event in the Summer Series takes place this week in conjunction with New Brunswick’s annual Restaurant Week. The George is hosting an exclusive Restaurant Week Tasting featuring menu items and wine tastings from Tula Lounge and menu tastings from Bon Chon Korean Restaurant and Tangerine Asian Grill, a new Japanese and Chinese Fusion Restaurant with Hibachi Style Cooking. The popular event also featured entertainment from singer and guitarist Sophia Nicole.
Additional events will take place throughout the summer. To participate in the Summer Event Series, interested attendees can call The George leasing office at (732) 339-3199 or email info@TheGeorgeNJ.com.
