FORT LEE – A brand new luxury apartment building opened in Fort Lee on Tuesday.
The 194-unit “Twenty50” rental building sits next to the George Washington Bridge and has views of the Hudson River. The building has an outdoor pool, fitness center and game room with a 100-inch television.
It is one of many new luxury buildings going up in Fort Lee that officials hope will lead to an economic rebirth of the area. As the housing and rental markets improve, developers are looking to attract young and affluent New Jersey residents who want to be close to the city, but pay a more reasonable rate.
There are plans for road improvements and traffic lights in the area, as well.
The building has one- and two-bedroom units. Rentals start at $2,200.
