JERSEY CITY — The 50-story apartment tower at 70 Columbus Drive has leased 60 percent of its 545 apartments in its first four months, say the developers, who attributed the brisk pace not only to its location in one of the region’s hottest markets, but also to its architecture, design touches and amenities that include a pool, basketball court and its own dog run. The views don’t hurt, either.
From choice units, the modern skyscraper at the corner of Marin Boulevard and Columbus Drive offers terraces with virtually unobstructed 270–degree views including New Jersey to the West, the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor to the south, the Hudson River Manhattan to the east, the Palisades to the north, and the rest of the Jersey City’s unceasingly sprouting skyline all around.
Rents start at $2,410 a month for studios, $2,850 for one-bedroom, $3,950 for two-bedrooms.
The building is a partnership between Hoboken-based Ironstate Development and Panepinto Properties of Jersey City.
The developers tapped Gwathmey, Siegel, Kaufman Architects (GSKA).
