HOPATCONG, NJ – A full day of activities, exercise and lakefront fun is planned for Sunday, Sept. 24th on New Jersey’s largest lake: Lake Hopatcong.
The annual “Lake Loop” event hosted by the Lake Hopatcong Foundation will be held at Hopatcong State Park, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the lake in a variety of ways. Planned activities include biking around the lake, a trail run, a dog walk, and canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding from the state park’s beach. Free entertainment and refreshments are available throughout the day.
This year, the brand new Mariner’s Pointe townhome community on the shores of Lake Hopatcong is among the festival’s sponsors. The community is just a half-mile away from Hopatcong State Park and is accessible by docking at the community’s boat slips, or by car. Tours will be offered between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Information on the community will also be available during the Lake Loop at the Mariner’s Pointe tent located near the pavilion at Hopatcong State Park.
“We are proud to be a part of the Lake Hopatcong community and happy to be a sponsor of this year’s Lake Loop event,” said Cory Atkins, a principal of the award-winning Atkins Companies, which is developing Mariner’s Pointe and retained Coldwell Banker New Homes to market and sell the community. “The Lake Loop celebrates some of the things we love best about Lake Hopatcong: a fun-loving spirit, outdoor activity, and a dedication to the natural beauty of the area. We built Mariner’s Pointe so we could offer those experiences to our home buyers day-in and day-out.”
The highlight of the Mariner’s Pointe tour will be the first look at the new “Regatta” and “Spinnaker” model homes, part of the community’s “Lakeside Homes” collection that is being built right on the waterfront. The Regatta and Spinnaker models are still in the final stages of construction, but muddy shoe tours will be offered, allowing guests to experience the generous living spaces and the spectacular views of pristine open water they offer.
Tours of the community’s “Charthouse” model home will also be offered. The fully-furnished three-bedroom, 2 ½-bath home includes a two-car garage and 2,027 square feet of living space. The home is part of the “Woodside Homes” collection and is well-appointed with modern interiors, designer details and desirable outdoor space. What’s more, a few Charthouse homes are available for quick delivery.
Four unique townhome designs are available at Mariner’s Pointe, featuring up to 2,248 square feet of living space. Homes in the Woodside Homes collection include three bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, two-car garages, patios and balconies. They are nestled against more than five acres of protected woodlands, just steps from the lake, at prices starting from the mid $400,000s. Homes in the Lakeside Homes collection are carriage-style townhomes, offering two or three bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, a one-car garage and private patios or balconies with breathtaking views of the lake, at prices starting from the low $500,000s.
An on-site, private deeded boat slip is included with every home at Mariner’s Pointe. The community’s permanent boat dock stretches across its private lakefront shoreline. The dock, attached to steel pilings, features a bubbler system for winter dock protection and includes direct access to electrical hookups and hose bibs. The slips are generously sized and can accommodate a wide variety of watercraft. Residents will also enjoy a secure enclosed storage area for kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and other water sports equipment.
Amenities underway that will enhance the lake experience further include a covered lakefront pavilion and sundeck that offer spectacular views, and a multi-tiered lakefront gathering area with gas fire pit, gas grills, a paver sundeck and plenty of lounge seating for residents to relax, enjoy an outdoor meal and socialize with their neighbors.
The Lake Loop is just one of many things to enjoy on Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey’s largest freshwater body. The lake stretches for miles with spectacular scenery and impressive waterfront mansions. Attractions such as the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club, Garden State Yacht Club, Lake Hopatcong Golf Club, Lake Hopatcong Cruises, and waterfront restaurants such as Stone Water Restaurant, Alice’s, The Windlass, Pavinci Grill and Patrick’s Pub are all just a few minutes away from Mariner’s Pointe by car or boat.
More than a dozen golf courses are within a 30-minute drive of Mariner’s Pointe. Popular ski slopes in the Poconos and in Sussex County offer winter recreation, and nearby Stokes State Forest offers hiking, camping, fishing and cross country skiing. Mount Airy Casino Resort is also less than an hour away. The Mount Arlington Bus and Rail Transportation Hub and Lake Hopatcong train station are just a few minutes from Mariner’s Pointe, offering service to midtown Manhattan on both NJ Transit’s Montclair-Boonton line and the Morristown Line. The entrance to Route 80 is less than a five-minute drive away.
