CARY, NC  –  Baker Residential, an award-winning homebuilder rapidly expanding its footprint in the Northeast and Carolinas, has announced the appointment of two lead executives to further fuel its notable growth in strategic housing markets along the East Coast.

Lawrence Lane

Lawrence Lane has been tapped as President of the North Carolina Division where he will direct all aspects of the developer’s operations in the Tar Heel State, including land acquisition and development, sales and marketing, construction, customer relations and financial and asset management.   Prior to joining Baker Residential, Mr. Lane served as Division President in the Raleigh-Durham area for two national homebuilders – Meritage Homes and Pulte Homes.   A 1993 graduate of Duquesne University and 1998 graduate of the University of Pittsburg, Mr. Lane has led the day-to-day operations for hundreds of residential units and overseen hundreds of millions in revenue and capital in his previous roles.

His vast knowledge of the vital components of real estate development, from sales and marketing to finance, purchasing and construction, will be critical as we prepare to introduce hundreds of units in the Triangle region.”

With a burgeoning portfolio of new housing products, the developer has named Scott Seaman as its new Director of Construction for the Raleigh Division.  Mr. Seaman brings 20-plus years of professional building and construction experience to his new role where he’ll oversee Baker Residential’s new projects and its existing inventory of homes.  His responsibilities will include directing on-site construction, handling subcontractors supervision and scheduling, maintaining development timelines, budgeting and customer service and quality assurance.    Mr. Seaman most recently held the positions of Director of Construction for Fielding Homes, LLC and Area Construction Manager for Meritage Homes. He received a Bachelor Degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University in 2005.
