A 140,000-square-foot retail development slated for a former Colgate-Palmolive industrial campus in North Jersey has already signed up a roster of tenants, and construction has started.
Morris Marketplace is part of a mixed-use project, the redevelopment of a 64-acre parcel at 191 E. Hanover Ave. that straddles Morris Township and Morristown, the seat of Morris County. The property is where Colgate-Palmolive, the New York City-based maker of consumer products such as liquid hand soap, had operated a manufacturing facility for more than 60 years before announcing in 2013 that it was closing it by 2016.
