OLD TAPPAN — A 130-unit apartment complex has opened at the former site of the Pearson Education building on Park Avenue.
Leasing has begun for the apartments, and several businesses are set to open in the three-story development, called Park & Arbor.
The location at 18 Park Ave., in the center of Old Tappan, just off Old Tappan Road, provides convenience for tenants, while still offering a tranquil setting and natural beauty, with acres of farmland adjacent to the property, said David Hornblass, a principal at Hornrock Properties, the developer of Park & Arbor.
“We’re in the center of town, but the back of the property backs up to Stokes Farm,” he said. “It’s incredibly unique.”
The development’s 130 apartments are a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. The majority are two-bedrooms, some with dens, ranging from 1,050 to 1,500 square feet.
