From making baking powder and pudding to housing luxury penthouses, one of Hoboken’s most historic buildings is getting a new life.

Southend Lofts, a new mixed-use property at 38 Jackson Street, reimagines the circa-1893 building that once housed the bakery factory of R.B. Davis Company, maker of Davis Baking Powder and My-T-Fine Pudding.
Developed by The Taurasi Group and designed by Nastasi Architects, the historic five-story factory building has been restored and expanded with several newly constructed wings rising up to nine stories that span a full city block.
It blends industrial charm with contemporary living, featuring oversized factory windows, soaring ceilings, exposed preserved columns and expansive layouts
