Legacy of Mountain Lakes’ Midvale floorplan is one of two home designs in the community’s popular Carriage Series. A model featuring the other Carriage Series floorplan, The Hillcrest, will open in late February.

MOUNTAIN LAKES, N.J. – Only a limited number of homes remain at Legacy of Mountain Lakes, the upscale collection of just 39 townhomes in the desirable Morris County borough of Mountain Lakes, but the community’s developers are still doing everything they can to accommodate their final few buyers. In addition to offering limited-time incentives, they have announced plans for a new furnished model home that will highlight one of the floorplans available in its final phase of homes.

The new model will showcase the “Hillcrest” home design, a three-bedroom floorplan with two full baths, two half-baths and a two-car garage that is part of Legacy of Mountain Lakes’ popular Carriage Series. The home, scheduled to open in late February, is designed to take advantage of every inch of its 2,162 square feet of living space.

The Hillcrest home opens on the recreation level, where a spacious recreation room is flanked by the home’s porch and an inviting patio. The intelligently-designed living level features a large, well-appointed great room and dining area that is coupled with a country kitchen with a large center island, all arranged in a manner that maximizes living space and offers all of the advantages of an open floor plan. On the bedroom level, an impressive master suite with a walk-in closet, master bath with granite countertops, dual sinks and Kohler fixtures highlights the collection of three bedrooms.

Home buyers looking forward to the opening of the Hillcrest model may actually want to visit the community before it opens, as selection grows more limited every week. A variety of different floor plans and locations are still available, but they are going fast. Buyers are acting now to secure the home of their choice, and also to take advantage of limited-time upgrade incentives worth up to $35,000 in value depending on the home series selected.

“Buying a home from our Carriage Series is an excellent way to become a part of this highly-coveted Mountain Lakes community, and the new Hillcrest model will demonstrate just how much potential the homes offer,” said David Hornblass, a principal of HornRock Properties, the developer of Legacy of Mountain Lakes. “We’re excited to introduce this new model, but at the same time, we are telling prospective buyers not to wait until then to visit. The incredible lifestyle, affordable price point and generous incentives has already made these homes popular, so the limited supply of remaining homes may not last very long.”

Two distinct housing collections are available at Legacy of Mountain Lakes. Homes in the community’s Carriage Series are offered in two designs, the “Midvale” and the “Hillcrest”, both of which offer three-bedroom layouts with two full baths, two half baths and one- or two-car garages. These townhomes range from 2,162 to 2,236 square-feet of finished living space and are priced from $615,900. The Carriage Series homes feature expansive living spaces, exquisite finishes and a modern, “open concept” layout.

Homes in Legacy’s “Signature Series” include an elegant “Briarcliff” model townhome which was released for sale late last year. Both the Briarcliff and the “Fernwood” layout offer buyers a three-bedroom, 2 ½-bath floorplan, many of which are in premium wooded locations. The homes range in size from 2,829 to 2,853 square feet of luxury living space, but can be upgraded to 4,700+ square feet of living space with a finished lower level and 4th level. They also include an attached two-car garage. Prices for the remaining Signature Series homes start from $899,900.

Much of Legacy of Mountain Lakes’ immense popularity can be attributed to its location in a leafy corner of Mountain Lakes, one of New Jersey’s most desirable suburban towns. Buyers to date have cited the community’s natural beauty, excellent quality-of-life and top-notch public school system as motivating factors. It is also one of the only new construction options for home buyers in Mountain Lakes, a town that typically offers an older housing stock.

“When we first designed Legacy of Mountain Lakes, we set out to create a community that offered luxury, sophistication, very little maintenance, and an opportunity to enjoy everything that makes Mountain Lakes special,” said Maurice Hornblass, another HornRock principal. “Now it is a vibrant community full of friendly neighbors. With the special, limited-time, incentives that are now available we don’t expect the remaining homes to last for long, so we urge all interested home buyers to visit the community today.”

Situated at the intersection of Morris Avenue and Fanny Road, Legacy of Mountain Lakes offers a superb Morris County location characterized by winding country roads, bucolic lakes and heavily wooded terrain. With its attractive setting and close proximity to convenient transportation, the community unquestionably offers a prestigious address. The community features easy access to Routes 46, 287 and 80, putting residents just minutes from world class shopping, entertainment and major business centers. The neighboring town of Boonton features a charming Main Street with shops, restaurants, a historic vaudeville theatre, and other attractions. The quaint, sophisticated colonial town center of Morristown offers additional shopping, dining and nightlife options just a 10-minute drive away.

Mountain Lakes is home to countless parks and nine lakes, making it ideal for outdoor recreation, all right in the heart of one of northern New Jersey’s most picturesque settings. Golf is abundant in the area, and lake clubs, such as the Mountain Lakes Club, offer a variety of outdoor activities and dining options. The Lakeland Hills YMCA is right down the street from Legacy of Mountain Lakes, offering a pool, gymnasium, child care, summer camps, fitness facilities and more, all within walking distance.
